We belong to India and hail from a very poor family. I being the only son of my aged parents had the responsibility to take care of my father when he was ailing with prostate cancer. We had to borrow heavily to meet out for the medical expenses and surgery and it was a success, he lived for five years and passed away. Only then did we realise we were in deep debts with creditors coming to our house and harassing and threatening our family members still. We decided to commit suicide but only to be saved by our neighbours. I am a 60 year old single woman who has battled colon cancer for the past 11 years. I have had 2 major surgeries removing much of my inner and outer colon. I have no health insurance, I am unemployed, and keep getting denied government assistance. I am 31 years old and a former veteran. I served in the military from 1996-2001. I was young and dumb and made a few mistakes along the way. I have filed for bankruptcy in the past and it is just now behind me. However I have had a very hard time getting to where I am now. My wife and I try and make good sound decisions that always turn around for the worse no matter how much planning goes in to it. We have both given up our sports cars to help raise a great child.
